Jason Pierre-Paul’s incredible definition of resilience

Two-time Super Bowl champion Jason Pierre-Paul has been through his fair share of battles. The former New York Giant'‘s most infamous moment came while on the roster in East Rutherford. On July 4th 2015, Pierre-Paul suffered a significant hand injury after a firework detonated in his hand, causing him to lose most of his right index finger.

JPP also spent two years in junior college before dominating at USF before being drafted with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Haitian Sensation played eight years in New York before arriving in Tampa.

The tribulations didn’t start and end in New York. Pierre-Paul suffered a neck fracture in May 2019 — before playing a single game for the Bucs. Like anyone, JPP has had plenty of setbacks, perhaps more than most, so it was fitting he had such a wonderful explanation for how he moves through difficult times.
